Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 15-19-51) prohibits law students (and other people who are not licensed attorneys) from giving legal advice or providing legal assistance without attorney supervision.

If you need legal services and cannot afford a lawyer, the resources below may assist you.


Civil/General Legal Services

GeorgiaLegalAid.org a joint project of Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc. and Georgia Legal Services Program, provides basic legal information and forms on a variety of topics, links to self-help centers, and a list of free legal service providers you might contact.

Georgia Free Legal Answers allows low-income users to submit civil legal questions and receive written answers from licensed attorneys at no cost.

Atlanta Legal Aid Society (for the five-county metro Atlanta area) offers civil legal help for low-income individuals.
